BFBC2Game.exe is the process that starts up when you play BC2.
The problem is it doesn't quit when you stop playing.

If you start the game 6 times without a pc restart, you will have 6 of these process running.
This can and will put a strain on system resources.
I have not found anything related to this in any of the forums I have read, if I do I will post any new info as I become aware.

I would recommend after quoiting out of the game, ctrl+alt+del to bring up your task manager, click on your processes tab, highlight these processes 1 at a time and then click end process.

mat found that the other night, we were bullshitting and hed had the game shut down allmost 2 hours and found out it was still running in the background. ctl alt deleat the process will take it off.

i looked at mine and its not running in the background for me so maybe it is just windows 7

Portal was doing this too recently...  I'd quit, and it'd still say I was in game, and when I'd try to exit steam, it would prompt me to quit portal, even though it wasn't running in the task bar, hl2.exe was still running in the task manager.  Maybe it's a Steam problem?  Or maybe the two are unrelated...
